As a Content Specialist Intern, you will support the creation, optimization, and management of engaging content across various digital platforms. This role provides hands-on experience in content strategy, writing, editing, and digital marketing. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of compelling written content for blogs, websites, email newsletters, and social media channels
- Conduct research on industry-related topics to develop relevant and up-to-date content
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop new content ideas
- Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, grammar, and brand consistency
- Support the implementation of SEO strategies by optimizing content for search engines
- Help monitor and manage content calendars to ensure timely publishing
- Assist in managing social media accounts by scheduling posts, creating captions, and engaging with followers
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify content opportunities
- Assist in analyzing content performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights)
- Help with repurposing content across different platforms (e.g., turning blog posts into infographics, videos, or social media snippets)
- Stay updated on content marketing trends, digital tools, and best practices
- Participate in content review meetings and contribute to discussions on improving content quality and engagement
- Work closely with the design team to create visually appealing content such as graphics, images, and videos
- Support the creation of email marketing campaigns, including drafting content and selecting visuals
- Assist with general marketing tasks and administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in communications, marketing, journalism, English, or a related field
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or other blog platforms (preferred)
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing strategies
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and experience creating content for these channels
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment
