Job Description
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care. This role involves overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and providing support to the nursing team in delivering effective care. The Nursing Supervisor works closely with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Develop staff schedules and manage staffing levels to meet patient needs.
- Collaborate with doctors and other medical professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Address and resolve patient care issues or concerns.
- Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate professional development.
- Manage nursing budgets and resources efficiently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN), with an active RN license.
- 3-5 years of nursing experience, including supervisory roles.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and nursing best practices.
- CPR and BLS certification preferred.
Work Environment:
- Hospital or healthcare facility setting.
- Fast-paced, with frequent interaction with staff and patients.
- May require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
Salary Range:
$75,000 – $95,000 per year (varies by experience and location).
