Job Description

The Animator is responsible for creating engaging animations for various media, including films, television shows, video games, and online content. This role involves using artistic skills and technical software to bring characters and scenes to life through movement, storytelling, and visual effects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop storyboards and animatics to outline scenes and character actions based on scripts and concepts.
  • Create high-quality animations using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Maya, Blender).
  • Collaborate with directors, producers, and other artists to ensure alignment with the overall creative vision.
  • Utilize character design and motion studies to ensure accurate and fluid movements.
  • Incorporate feedback and make revisions to animations as needed.
  • Work closely with sound designers and editors to synchronize animations with audio and visual elements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in animation techniques and software.
  • Maintain organized project files and meet deadlines for various animation projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an animator or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous animation work.
  • Proficiency in animation software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Maya, or Cinema 4D.
  • Strong understanding of principles of animation, timing, and storytelling.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present ideas and concepts.

Work Environment:

  • Work in animation studios, production companies, or remotely.
  • May involve long hours and tight deadlines, especially during project completions.
