The Diversity Recruiter plays a critical role in promoting and advancing the company’s diversity and inclusion goals by identifying and attracting a diverse pool of talent. This role involves working closely with hiring managers, HR, and leadership teams to ensure the recruitment strategies align with the organization’s commitment to creating an inclusive work environment. The Diversity Recruiter will focus on building relationships with diverse communities, implementing inclusive hiring practices, and driving initiatives to enhance diversity in the workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies aimed at increasing diversity across all departments and levels of the organization
- Partner with hiring managers and HR teams to understand hiring needs and ensure job postings appeal to diverse candidates
- Source candidates from underrepresented groups through job boards, diversity-focused events, networking, and outreach programs
- Build strong relationships with diversity organizations, universities, and community groups to expand recruitment channels
- Ensure inclusive language is used in job postings and marketing materials to attract a wide range of candidates
- Screen and evaluate candidates with a focus on maintaining a fair and equitable hiring process
- Provide guidance and training to hiring managers on unconscious bias and inclusive hiring practices
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics related to diversity, including candidate demographics and hiring success rates
- Represent the company at diversity-focused career fairs, conferences, and events to increase brand visibility and connect with diverse talent
- Stay informed on best practices, trends, and laws related to diversity and inclusion in hiring
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to align recruitment efforts with broader diversity and inclusion initiatives within the company
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in diversity recruiting, talent acquisition, or related HR role
- Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion best practices and their impact on recruitment
- Excellent sourcing skills and experience in engaging with underrepresented groups through various channels
- Knowledge of employment law, equal opportunity regulations, and diversity hiring compliance
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment pipelines and work closely with cross-functional teams
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and diversity-focused recruitment tools
- Passion for creating inclusive work environments and promoting diversity at all levels
