Job Description

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is a key executive leadership role responsible for developing and executing the human resources strategy aligned with the overall business objectives of the organization. This position involves overseeing all aspects of HR management, including talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, compensation and benefits, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and compliance with employment laws. The CHRO will work closely with the executive team to foster a positive workplace culture and drive organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that supports the organization’s goals and promotes a high-performance culture
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract, retain, and develop top talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce
  • Oversee employee engagement initiatives, performance management systems, and career development programs to enhance employee satisfaction and retention
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with market trends
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to assess and address workforce planning needs and organizational structure
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through training and development initiatives, leadership programs, and succession planning
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, managing risk related to HR practices
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on HR-related issues, providing insights and recommendations based on data-driven analysis
  • Lead initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, enhancing workplace culture and employee relations
  • Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of HR services and initiatives
  • Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, and legislative changes that may impact the organization

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably as a CHRO or similar position
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance regulations
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to inform decision-making
  • Experience in change management and organizational development initiatives
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace
  • Professional certifications in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are a plus
