The Material Handler is responsible for the movement, storage, and management of materials and products within a warehouse or production facility. This role ensures that materials are efficiently and safely received, stored, and distributed to support production or shipment operations. Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are essential in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment
• Ensure the accurate receiving, storing, and distribution of materials and products
• Verify shipments by checking the contents against purchase orders and packing lists
• Organize and maintain inventory, keeping the warehouse or storage area clean and accessible
• Assist in inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels
• Coordinate with the production or shipping team to ensure materials are supplied when needed
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and damage to materials
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and conveyor belts in a safe and efficient manner
• Label and track materials using warehouse management systems or manual logs
• Report any material shortages, damaged goods, or discrepancies to the supervisor
• Assist in preparing shipments by packing, labeling, and ensuring proper documentation
• Participate in loading and unloading trucks or containers

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
• Basic understanding of inventory management and warehouse safety practices
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
