The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces, including parks, gardens, and recreational facilities. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure that landscapes are aesthetically pleasing, safe, and accessible. Responsibilities:

• Mow, trim, and fertilize lawns and gardens to maintain healthy and attractive landscapes
• Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, and flowers according to seasonal needs
• Clear leaves, debris, and litter from walkways, parking lots, and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as mowers, blowers, and trimmers
• Apply pesticides and herbicides safely and according to regulations
• Assist with the design and installation of new landscaping projects, including pathways, flower beds, and irrigation systems
• Monitor plant health and identify signs of disease or pest infestations, implementing corrective actions as necessary
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to schedule work and ensure timely completion of projects
• Provide excellent customer service to visitors, answering questions and addressing concerns related to the grounds
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules and inventory of supplies

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance is a plus
• Knowledge of plants, horticulture, and landscaping techniques
• Ability to operate landscaping machinery and tools safely
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for outdoor work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions

Work Environment:

• Primarily outdoor work, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions
• May require early morning, evening, or weekend hours based on seasonal needs
