Barbacks play an essential support role in the bar environment, assisting bartenders in creating a smooth and efficient service experience for patrons. Responsibilities:

• Assist bartenders by preparing ingredients, garnishes, and drink orders efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and bar tools
• Stock and replenish bar supplies, such as liquor, mixers, ice, and glassware, to ensure smooth operations
• Help manage the flow of service during peak hours, ensuring that bartenders have everything they need to serve customers quickly
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, following the establishment’s policies and procedures
• Monitor inventory levels and inform management of any shortages or issues with supplies
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting with patrons and ensuring their needs are met promptly
• Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service, ensuring all equipment is clean and stored properly

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old; some establishments may require a minimum age of 21
• Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
