Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sound Engineer to join our production team. The Sound Engineer will be responsible for capturing, mixing, and editing audio for various projects, including film, television, music, and live events. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with producers, directors, and other team members to understand the audio requirements for each project.
- Set up and operate audio equipment for recordings, live events, and post-production sessions.
- Record, mix, and edit audio tracks, ensuring high-quality sound for final productions.
- Conduct sound checks and monitor audio levels during recordings and live events to ensure optimal sound quality.
- Work with various software and hardware tools for sound design, mixing, and mastering (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live).
- Troubleshoot audio issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure seamless sound integration.
- Maintain and organize audio equipment, ensuring everything is in working order and ready for use.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in audio engineering.
- Provide technical support and guidance to production staff regarding audio equipment and techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Sound Design, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience as a Sound Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating audio work.
- Proficiency in audio recording, mixing, and editing software and equipment.
- Strong understanding of sound design principles, audio signal flow, and acoustics.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen ear for sound quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for projects and events.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot audio issues under pressure.
